Comments:

Reconstruction of the original mill on this site, which was built in 1847 and ceased operating in 1900.  The original mill was torn down in 1930.  A new 12'X 5' steel breast waterwheel has been built and installed on the mill.  A unique feature of this 3 story (plus basement) mill is a modern elevator to take visitors with handicaps on a mill tour.  The mill is completely handicap accessible, and has been completely insulated, with storm windows and was dedicated in 1999.  Visitors are welcome.
