Comments:

Large brick mill and operated by Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources as a mill museum.  Mill has most equipment removed except a set of 42" stones.  SPOOM member Jack Smoot is the miller/interpreter.  Meal, in reproductions of the original mill sacks, are sold, but NOT for human consumption.  There is a collection of various types of roller mills on display.   Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 1971.  There is a Howe truss covered bridge adjacent to the mill.  The covered bridge was significantly restored in 1998 but is closed to traffic.  The mill and bridge combination is very picturesque.  Admission Charge to tour the mill.
