Maryland State Underwater Archaeologist Susan Langley will give a talk on mills from a maritime archaeology perspective. This presentation will include boat mills, the earliest known tide mill, and fulling mills that predate the Industrial Revolution. Cost: $6 members/$10 non-members

Newlin Grist Mill staff will give a presentation on the types of power that mills have used throughout history, as well as discussing the process of building a new waterwheel for the site’s 1704 Grist Mill as a form of experimental archaeology.
